Lance ran into trouble with the law early on: he dealt, got mixed up with dangerous people and became addicted to drugs.
After time in prison, several attempts at rehab and a mental illness, he seemed to have hit rock bottom and ended up on disability benefits. Then a lifelong dream gave his life new meaning: merguez sandwiches. Twice a week he and his mother sell the French–North African speciality from a street food bike, and that is how he found his way back.
